A woman has shared the story of her husband’s friend whose marriage reportedly crashed just three months after their wedding — all because they could not agree on attending the same church.

According to her account, the crisis began when the husband asked his wife to join his church after marriage. He believed that worshipping together was essential for unity and spiritual alignment in their home.

However, the wife refused.

She was deeply committed to her church, where she served as the Children’s Department Coordinator. She reportedly told her husband that she had built strong bonds with the children and felt unable to walk away from them.

In a bid to find middle ground, the husband suggested she could continue serving in the same department in his church — possibly even grow into a bigger role. She declined.

He also raised concerns about the implications of being under different doctrines, arguing that it could create division in their marriage. Still, she stood her ground.

What began as a disagreement soon escalated.

The wife allegedly began protesting in the home — refusing to cook and withholding intimacy. The issue quickly moved beyond the couple, as both partners reported each other to their respective pastors.

Family members and church leaders stepped in to mediate, but the divide only deepened. Her pastor reportedly insisted she remain in her church, while his pastor emphasized marital unity and encouraged her to join her husband’s congregation.

With no compromise and no resolution in sight, the marriage broke down.
