Lizzy Anjorin Accepts ₦10m Boxing Challenge, Dares Iyabo Ojo to Ring Showdown

Nollywood feud takes dramatic turn as Anjorin proposes pre-fight bout involving Paulo and her husband, raising stakes in long-running rivalry

Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has reignited her long-running feud with Iyabo Ojo after officially accepting a celebrity boxing challenge reportedly backed by a ₦10 million prize.

In a fiery Instagram post on Sunday, Anjorin declared her readiness to step into the ring, reviving a proposal first introduced years ago by show promoter Paul Okoye (Paulo).

“As of today, May 3, 2026, I accept your challenge,” she announced, signaling a new phase in one of the industry’s most talked-about rivalries.

But Anjorin didn’t stop at a straightforward acceptance. She introduced a dramatic twist, proposing a two-stage showdown. According to her plan, Paulo should first face her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she squares off with Iyabo Ojo the following day.

Escalating tensions further, Anjorin also challenged both Paulo and Ojo to publicly prove their wealth and achievements, adding a personal edge to the already heated dispute.

The clash between Anjorin and Ojo has spanned years, playing out across social media, legal battles, and public confrontations. What began as professional and personal disagreements has evolved into one of Nollywood’s most persistent and high-profile feuds.

In 2024, Paulo initially floated the idea of a celebrity boxing match between the actresses, complete with a ₦10 million reward for the winner. The proposal, however, remained unofficial until its recent revival.

The rivalry intensified in 2025 when Iyabo Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated plans to refile, keeping the legal battle alive.

With celebrity boxing gaining traction in Nigeria—fueled by high-profile bouts involving entertainers—the potential clash between Anjorin and Ojo is already generating massive buzz online.

If it materializes, fans believe the showdown could become one of the biggest celebrity boxing events ever staged in Africa.
